Kobujutsu workshops with Sensei Martin Phillips (5th Dan Karate & 4th Dan Kobujutsu) & Sensei Sandra Phillips (5th Dan Karate & 3rd Dan Kobujutsu). The workshops will primarily focus on bo & sai, check the session information below for more details.
These workshops are open to students of all styles. Minimum age: 13 yrs. No prior experience is required for the Saturday sesions, but it is recommended that participants are at least intermediate kyu level in karate (7th Kyu or higher for Chito-Ryu karate students). The Sunday sessions are only open to students who have already graded in Chito-Ryu kobujutsu. You will need to provide your own weapons for the workshops.

- Session 1 (1:00 – 5:00pm): Bo & Sai kihon waza (basic techniques) ** Beginners Welcome **
Sunday,
18th August 2024
- Session 2 (9:00am – 12:00pm): Bo kata ** Minimum rank 5th Kyu in Chito-Ryu Kobujutsu **
- Session 3 (1:00 – 4:00pm): Sai kata ** Minimum rank 5th Kyu in Chito-Ryu Kobujutsu **
- Kobujutsu Kyu Grading (4:30pm~): Instructor recommendation & prior knowledge required.

In the event that there are too many participants registered to fit in the dojo safely, a nearby, alternate venue will be used. If this occurs, all registered participants will be notified a few days prior.
